Awakening Your Soul’s Purpose

In the last year of my life, I have undergone an unbelievable transformation. I went from being a girl in grief who protected her vulnerability behind a smile to a confident woman sure of herself and the direction of her life.

No one could stop me from emerging. See, my soul’s purpose has me touching millions of people, to entertain and to inspire. The shining light inside of me couldn’t be kept in a dark place. This awakening revealed my purpose. As mentioned, though, it wasn’t always clear.

Yes, I’ve known for years that writing would be a part of my life until the day I draw my last breath, but now I have a full awareness. Through journaling and availing myself of the many teachers out there, I did energy work and opened my mind to areas that previously were taboo based on my upbringing. The result? I am happier than ever.

In fact, I truly feel that I have been re-born and am ready to live my life fully in line with my soul’s purpose. While I know I still have much to learn about meditation and energy work, I eagerly gorge myself on it as often as possible. Time to BE is part of my daily routine.

Like I mentioned, though, it wasn’t always easy for me. I went through very low periods, so low that I don’t even feel comfortable disclosing the depth of my despair. Let’s just suffice it to say that it was as low as a person can get emotionally.

Through teachers that came to be—trust me when I say that they appear at the right time—I came to realize the strength that lives within. I have the ability to manage and prosper simply by choosing to.

With guidance from my sister, Sherry, I purged a lot of emotions that were no longer serving me. These were low level vibrations and it was time for me to release them. They served their purpose. I thanked them for that but released them.

With my growth, more recently, I’ve learned to communicate with my Higher Self (people refer to this by many different labels but this is the one that resonates with me). After all, the answers to every situation lie within. I decided what I want in the future and asked my Higher Self what I need to do now in order to attain these goals. The answers coming back to me are astonishing and plentiful!

One morning last week, I was woken up by my soul’s mission statement. It was five thirty in the morning and I didn’t need to be up yet but I was driven. My soul was talking to me and I was listening. What came as a result was a two sentence mission statement of sorts. I refer to it as my Soul’s Mission Statement.

These two sentences involve my deepest being and what I’m here to do. The words poured naturally from me and are easy to remember. After all, they are who I am.
"To touch the hearts of millions with my books, my spoken words, and my deeds. To entertain, to inspire, to empower, and to provide temporary relief from stress and pain."
I wanted to share this experience with all of you to let you know that you have your own Soul’s Mission Statement inside of you. When the time is right it will reveal itself and in the manner that suits and speaks to you.

Just remember, as my sister is always saying, “we’re just beginning!”

Bless all of you and keep shining!

I hadn't heard about 2014 being the Year of the Open Door, but Wow! It certainly has proven to be for me and it's not even over yet.
