Coming Together as One

Have you noticed how there are so many friend groups popping up everywhere?   Currently, I am co-creating and participating in at least seven of these face-to-face group gatherings – not to mention several groups to interact with online, where friends can be from across the globe.

These various sharing circles in our towns, provinces, countries and the world, physically and virtually, are accelerating at this special time in human history.  More and more people are coming together for a common cause or topic, outside of the typical work environment.  During their “off” time, they are choosing to unite with other like-minded individuals and something very interesting is taking place.

We are co-creating a field; a sacred space that is safe for being seen and heard.  Each member is learning to come together in respect and non-judgement to witness the expression of their friends and to also learn it is okay to express oneself freely.  As we observe others, we are as students, learning more about them and ourselves.  As we share and express ourselves, we serve as teachers for ourselves and others.  Often someone intuitively says or does the right thing at the right time, offering guidance, encouragement and support.  It is simply magical!

Together we are raising our awareness and consciousness as we come together in oneness.  We begin to recognize we are not so separate and alone after all.  At the same time, together we practice our unique expression and build confidence in our ability to share our gifts and shine!  A synergy is taking place; a loving, united force field is taking shape and rippling into the world around each of us.  We are becoming the change we want to see in the world.  How beautiful is that?

Now is our time to come together as one and shine!

Thank you to the many friends serving as my teachers and guides.  I feel extremely blessed to journey with each of you. ♥

How to Realize Your Unlimited Potential

Choose to leap out of your comfort zone.
Did that title pull you in? You’re reading this so it obviously worked to get your attention, but it also confirms something else. You believe in yourself. You believe that you have potential. I mean, otherwise, why would you have clicked the link or be reading this? Having this pointed out to you might surprise you. Maybe you’re going through a rough time and nothing seems to be going your way. Maybe you’ve been kicked around and had your heart broken. Maybe you’re going through feelings of worthlessness. BUT you chose to read this article. The reason for that? You do love yourself. You believe in yourself—even if you didn’t think that was the case. If you didn’t, well, you would have just kept on going about your life.

So how can you realize your unlimited potential?

You believe in yourself. You’ve already taken the first step by reading this article—and believing in yourself is a huge step! Without believing in your abilities and talents, potential wouldn’t do you much good. But to harness and mold that potential involves action.

You keep on pursuing your goals. This one may be easier said than done especially in the light of discouragement or setbacks. But if your self-belief is strong then this will make it impossible not to act. Let me re-phrase that positively. If you have strong self-belief then you will pursue your goals, your passion, your purpose, no matter what and against all odds, realizing that there is no such thing as failure but you will see all things as learning opportunities.

You realize no one else is more qualified to be you. That’s right, beautiful, you are the only one who possesses the skill-set and the experience to realize your full potential.

You keep on dreaming. Just as you pursue your purpose with full zeal, you realize nothing is too big for you. You continue to reach and continue to dream and continue to do.

Acknowledge you were given your gift for a reason. Whether this gift be energy healing, creative expression, and the list is endless, you were given the capability to excel in your area for a reason.
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
― Howard Thurman

Decide. This is really the key after self-belief. By deciding that nothing is going to stop you from being yourself, nothing—or no one—will hold you back.

Repeat after me, the following:

I am the light.
I am infinite.
I believe in myself.
I will always dream.
I will always aspire.
I will pursue my goals while realizing they have already manifested.
I realize my full potential.

How to Attract Abundance

Abundance is a very powerful word denoting a plentiful amount, more than enough, releasing beliefs of lack and limitation.

We all wish to experience a life full of abundance!  Abundance in health: mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Abundance in wealth: energy, time, and money.  Abundance in happiness: loving relationships, friends, passion and enthusiasm.  It is all-encompassing!

There are several reasons we may experience less than abundance in any of these areas and it is important to be compassionate with ourselves in light of our experiences.  In particular our feelings of hurt, pain, loss, and grief need to be acknowledged in a sensitive way, remembering we each take the time we need to move forward from such experiences.  We all have them.

Eventually we want more for ourselves.  We no longer want to feel in this limiting way.

As many articles have already recounted, there are many ways to help attract abundance into our lives, such as; gratitude, affirmations, visualizations and more.

However, sometimes our independent nature may hold us back from moving forward because we don’t know how and refuse to ask for help.  If we really want change and more abundance in our lives we need to ask for it.

It doesn’t matter who we ask; God, the universe, angel guides, friends or that spark within us connected with all that is.  The point is to ask.  We can ask directly for what we want or we can ask for the “how.”

How can I heal what happened in the past and have an abundance of peace now and moving forward?  How can I restore my overall well-being and be abundant in passion and enthusiasm?  How can I move on and attract new loving relationships into my life?  How can I experience financial abundance?  How can I?  Show me the way! (* For more on this topic, see article “How Can I?” April 1, 2014.)

There is tremendous power in asking!!! All forces will conspire to bring you the answers; one puzzle piece at a time.  Of course, next we need to believe answers will come, listen for them, and then act on them.  All the abundance in health, wealth and happiness is ours for the asking and receiving!

This has been and continues to be my experience.  For this I am truly grateful!

Jack Canfield: Get Clear on What You Want in 2015

Article by Jack Canfield

It’s easy to start the new year full of enthusiasm and optimism. But to maintain your momentum through the year, you need to set powerful, crystal-clear goals.

The first step to getting what you want out of life is to decide exactly what you want.

What do you want to accomplish?
What do you want to experience?
What do you want to acquire?
Who do you want to be?

One of primary reasons most people don’t get what they want is that they aren’t clear about what they want. Others will recognize what they’d like to have, but when they can’t see how it’s possible to get what they want, and they dismiss their desires as foolish and unattainable.

Don’t sabotage yourself this way!

After decades of research into how the human brain works, scientists now know that for our brains to figure out how to get what we want, we must first decide what we want. Once we lock-in our desires, our mind and the universe can step in to help make our dreams a reality.

Dream Big
We start the process by getting clear about what we want. So, what do you want? To create a balanced and successful life, write down a minimum of 3 goals in each of the following 7 areas:

Financial Goals
Career/Business Goals
Free Time/Family Time
Health/Appearance Goals
Relationship Goals
Personal Growth
Making a Difference
If you have more goals than this, don’t limit yourself – write them down! On the other hand, if writing down 21 goals seems like a lot, remember that we can have a mix of long- and short-term goals. For example, in the financial area, you may have a short-term goal of paying off a $5,000 credit card balance, as well as a long-term goal of amassing a net worth of $5 million dollars. You want to keep both goals present in your mind, even though you’ll be working more actively on the short-term goal first.

Use this worksheet to help you Unleash the Power of Goal Setting in these 7 areas: Decide-What-You-Want-Worksheet

Stretch Yourself
When setting our goals, it’s important to include a few that will make us stretch and grow to achieve them. These might be learning a new skill or trying something that is uncomfortable and maybe a little frightening, such as public speaking. It also helps to set a breakthrough goal that would represent a quantum leap. Examples of breakthrough goals include publishing a book, starting a business, getting on Oprah, winning a gold medal at the Olympics, or getting elected president of your industry association.

Material goals are important, but the ultimate goal is to become a master at life. In the long run, the greatest benefit we receive from pursuing our dreams is not the outer trappings of fulfilling the dream, but who we become in the process.

The outer symbols of success can all be easily lost. Houses burn down, companies go bankrupt, relationships end, cars get old, bodies age and fame wanes, but who you are, what you have learned, and the new skills you have developed never go away. These are the true prizes of success. Motivational philosopher Jim Rohn advises that “You should set a goal big enough that in the process of achieving it, you become someone worth becoming.”

Turn Your Dreams Into Goals and Objectives
Once you are clear about what you want, write them down and turn each item into a measurable objective. Measurable means measurable in space and time – how much and by when.

For instance, if you were to tell me that you wanted more money, I might pull out a dollar and give it to you. You would probably protest, saying “No, I meant a lot more money, like $20,000!” But there is no way I’d know how you’d define “more money” unless you tell me, right?

Similarly, your boss, your friends, your spouse, your brain, God, and the Universe can’t figure out what you want unless you tell them specifically what it is. What exactly do you want and when do you want it by?

Your Goals Impact Others
As soon as you commit to a big dream and really go after it, your subconscious creative mind will come up with big ideas to make it happen. You’ll start attracting the people, resources, and opportunities you need into your life to make your dream come true. Big dreams not only inspire you, they compel others to want to play big, too.

You’ll also discover that when your dreams include service to others – that is, accomplishing something that contributes to others – it accelerates the accomplishment of that goal. People want to be part of something that contributes and makes a difference.

Work on Your Goals Daily
To keep your subconscious mind focused on what you want, read your list of goals everyday. For an even more powerful approach, close your eyes and focus on each goal and ask yourself, "What is one thing I could do today to move toward the achievement of this goal?" Write down your answers and take those actions.

As the old joke goes, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” Steady progress in bite-sized chunks puts even the most audacious goals into reach.

Divine Expressions

Who are we and why are we here?  These have been the questions before us as humans for eons!

As our life journey unfolds, our answers to these questions tend to change based on the roles we play in our lives.  We may begin with; I am a son, a daughter, a student, a teenager, a young adult, an employee, a husband, a wife, a parent… etc.  But; is that truly who we are? Or are these merely roles we play?  This only leads us to more questions; where do these roles come from and who defines the criteria or expectations of each role?  How is a son to act?  How is a daughter to act?  What costumes do the characters wear and what is the setting?

Like characters in a play, we didn’t know we auditioned for; we improvise and automatically react to the lines and roles of our fellow actors.  Our parents, along with religious and academic teachers in our life give us the “Q’s” we need to fit into the theme of the play.  So now the questions; what is the theme and who are the writer, director and producer?

This is all well for a while, until we notice the lack of joy, frustration and even depression that arises when the role we feel forced to play conflicts with our very heart and soul.  We may wonder how and why did I get cast for this part?  And more than that, how do I get to play the role of “me”, the truth of who I am in this moment and the next?

As we grow, evolve and expand we become more self-aware.  No longer defining our self by the characters around us but discovering the self character we are really here to play and express in the world.  In the beginning, when we recognize a truth within us which conflicts with the norm, the expectations and the theme of the play, we may express ourselves in private for fear of criticism and judgement of the other characters in our play.  Meanwhile, each character is also undergoing their own self discovery process and expressing themselves in private.

Eventually, after having some practice privately expressing self, we attract supporting characters for a new play that is naturally unfolding in our life.  We find our tribe, our community of like-minded ones with interests, beliefs and passions similar to ours.  We experience, by both receiving and giving acceptance, love and safety to express ourselves freely.  The characters, costumes and scenery of the play become more enjoyable, exciting and vibrant!

Certainly, the journey to come to this point is riddled with obstacles, challenges, detours and distractions.  Not always easy and not always fun, however, a journey none the less.  A journey of remembering; remembering we are the writer, director, producer and characters of our play.

What if we are all of this and none of this?  What if we are all individual expressions of a Divine spark, which flows in, as and through each of us?  What if experiencing the roles of who we are not and who we are, are all perfect?  What if this is all part of our story, our play, our life, this human experience?

What if the role of all of us is the same – that as we experience our Divine expression, we assist and support others, encouraging them to experience their individual Divine expression?   We are Shining Souls after all; witnessing, loving and celebrating each Divine expression!

Letting People In

We’ve all heard it said many times—successful people have a network to support them. Do you believe that? It’s quite possible your ego responds with “I don’t need anyone.” But the truth is we all need help from others at times. There’s no way around this. In fact, for us to grow as individuals, it is necessary that we open up to other people.

There could be many reasons why we don’t let other people assist us, but I will discuss two--ego and vulnerability

If it's a matter of ego, we feel that we can figure everything out on our own. Even if you’ve never done anything before, it’s all right, you have it covered. You don’t need anyone. After all, you’re a powerful being and there shouldn’t be a need for other people—right? Wrong. Dead wrong.

Another thing that could be preventing us from seeking advice could be our vulnerability. It may still be entrenched in us that by asking for help, we are in some way exposing a weakness. In addition, we could feel that if we asked and were told no, we’d take it personally and be hurt by it. In this case, remember there is no such thing as rejection. Maybe you’re thinking yeah right but it’s true. If you ask someone for something and they say no, are you any further behind? You’re in the same spot—not better, but not worse either.

I’ve found on my personal journey that as I’ve come to fully accept who I am, I no longer fear asking for help. I welcome more people into my life than ever before. As a result, I’m a happier and more fulfilled person. Due to opening up, inspired thoughts have come to fruition that I alone never would have been able to accomplish as I didn’t have the personal know how. My Book of the Month Club is a good example of this.
